.NET Applications Support

This is an exciting opportunity for someone in a current Customer Care Analyst or Technical Support role who would like to grow into a PA/Developer role.

Responsibilities:

Trouble-shoot and resolve customer problems over the phone and escalate to developers/senior team members when necessary.
Customer support for .NET applications (specifically ASP.NET and C#), SQL SVR 2000/2005, Web Services, Web and Winforms applications.
Additionally you must have the willingness to be on call in off hours and on occasional weekends.

Qualifications:

2+ years experience in a technical customer support role
This position will offer a steep learning curve so a strong technical aptitude is required.
Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and understand the true meaning of customer service.
Knowledge of transportation industry an asset.

Responsibilities:

Strong communications and sales skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both sales and technology teams.

QA Analyst/Tester

Responsibilities:

Developing test plans, test cases and test scripts to meet functional requirements.
Test planning and test execution and analyzing the results.
Using automated testing tools for tracking and issue resolution.
Developing QA strategies for the project life cycle.
Utilizing commercial automated test tools and involvement in the creation of custom automated test tools.
Document test results and communicate them to the team.
Work closely with other testers and developers.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2years of QA testing experience in web-based and winforms environment.
Post-secondary degree/diploma in computer science or equivalent is an asset.
Certification in software quality engineering or equivalent is an asset.
Experience with QA of .NET web application solutions preferred.
Experience in writing test documentation.
Solid experience in executing testing and analyzing results.
Clear understanding of business requirements and test strategies as they apply to projects.
Expert knowledge and experience in tracking problems and defects.
Solid understanding of web development life cycle.
Highly organized with the ability to work independently.
Knowledge of transportation industry an asset.

Intermediate .NET Developer

Responsibilities:

Participate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
Develops and unit tests moderate to complex programs/modules according to specific business and design requirements in an efficient and accurate manner in order to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.
Participates in the development of detailed system/design documents to meet development methodology and to facilitate knowledge transfer as well as increasing application maintainability.
Participates in application design sessions and code reviews/walkthroughs to ensure accuracy towards business requirements and development guidelines and increase technical skills through knowledge transfer. Keeps abreast of development technologies, both current and future.
Provides support and enhancements to existing production applications in a timely and accurate manner.
Provides guidance to junior members of team to facilitate and expedite their learning curve allowing them to increase their confidence in their abilities so that they may work on more complex applications.
Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.

Qualifications:

2+ years development using MS .NET Framework, C#, ADO.Net and Visual Studio 2003/2005
Proficiency with .NET Framework 1.1/2.0
2+ years experience with SQL Server trigger and stored procedure development using Microsoft SQL Database 2000/2005
Experience with Microsoft Application Blocks, OO and Design Patterns an asset
Experience using UML and web based technologies an asset
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate technical constructs in user-friendly manner
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
Highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail
Demonstrates commitment with staying current with changing trends in technologies, development methodologies and best practices
Effective communication skills
Able to accept direction from superiors
Previous experience developing products for transportation industry an asset
4 Year University Degree in Applied Computer Science or equivalent 3 Year College Diploma
